Steve Heffer - Midfield

Midfield hard-man Steve Heffer signed from Dagenham and Redbridge before the 2003/4 season. Never shirks a challenge and is a firm fans favourite. Garry Hill once said at a D&R fans forum that his worst mistake as manager there was to let him go! Has made over 100 appearances for Thurrock scoring a single goal against Bishop's Stortford in that time. Has also seen service with Boreham Wood.
