Colin McBride made 3 changes to Saturday's line up, recent signing Glenn  Poole made way for Lee Hodges to return down the left hand side whilst John Buffong came in for Shane Thompson and Simon Martin started in place of Cliff Akurang.

Thurrock took the game to Barking from the off and after a couple of half chances came and went, Simon Martin was on hand to head home a David Lee cross from 5 yards.

Almost immediately barking hit back following a mix up in defence the ball fell free for Barking to tap the ball into an empty net from 15 yards. Once again Thurrock tried to take control of the game, Lee Hodges came close a couple of time from long range. Martin got his second of the game, nodding in a cross after good work down the Thurrock right.

After 35 minutes Simon Martin made a run into the box with a Barking defender almost pulling his shirt off however the linesman deemed that no offence had taken place.

A couple of minutes into the second half Colin was forced into making a substitution when John Buffong, who had been injured in the last minute of the first half, had to come off to be replaced by Shane Thompson.

Thompson seemed to added a little more attacking threat down the wings. Thurrock started to dominate proceedings without creating many clear cut chances, with TK, Lee and Hodges all having chances from long range. Thurrock's second penalty appeal also fell on deaf ears when Thompson was hauled down in the box.

Barking equalised, against the run of play, when their first shot of the second half somehow squeezed in the far post  with Billy McMahon at full stretch.

Injury time came and a noticeably tired Barking defence began to give Thurrock more room, Thompson twice slid in ball to TK's feet only for TK to be flagged for offside. The game was sealed in the second half of Extra time, when an inch perfect David Lee through ball split the Barking defence and TK ran away to score.
