BARKINGSIDE 0 - 4 THURROCK F.C.
        Akurang 2
        Kandol 2
Played at Ship Lane

Colin McBride rang the changes for Essex Senior League encounter at ship, with Gary Howard, Paul Linger, Craig Davidson, John O'Brien and Lee Allen coming in for Bowes, Heffer, Gothard, Kris Lee and Jimmy MacFarlane.

Thurrock quickly settled in to the game with Cliff Akurang, restored to a striker's role from the normal midfield position that he has played most of the season, and Tresor Kandol going close in the open 15 minutes.

Kandol opened the scoring with a crisp low shot after being left unmarked in the Barkingside area, with the cross coming from David Lee. Cliff Akurang added the second just before half time, when after a one-two between Lee Allen and new signing Craig Davidson, the cross was headed home.

The second half was much the same with Thurrock calling all the shots and playing some very nice football. Barkingside hearts were broken with Kandol's second of the night after good work from Akurang.

Thurrock's forth goal was once again a combination from the two forwards after a good ball down the left hand side was picked up by Kandol who beat the full back and squared the ball to Cliff Akurang who slotted the ball home.

Barkingside never gave up and brought a good save out of John O'Brien, playing his first game of the season in the Thurrock goal, with a great save to his left.
